So, after a 3 week trip around europe, which included dropping my 5D mk3 lens first on to a really hard rock, I've invested in a kickstarted campaign to get a new strap system for my camera.
I had come across Peak Design through Philip Bloom and had almost bought one of their clips about 6 months ago. In the end I put it off and was going to buy it ready for my trip when I saw that they were using Kickstarter to launch some new products. These were exactly what I was looking for and also offered a bundle where I could get three products together as a system and save on the retail price. I took the plunge and backed it. The only drawback was that I wouldn't get the products before my trip as they won't be dispatched until October. Although a slight pain, I don't mind that much as I'm confident I will be getting good quality products which will last me years and be transferred on to future cameras.
These products are priced really well for the apparent quality and i am a believer of 'you get what you pay for'.
If you are looking for a strap/clip/hand strap combination or just one of those, you would be wise to have a look at them.
When I get them I'll let you know how they work in reality.
